Timothy J. Rodes focuses his practice on international disputes and complex cross-border litigation. He represents clients in commercial disputes involving multinational business relationships, international contracts, and proceedings connected to international arbitration.

Tim regularly works on matters involving the intersection of international arbitration and U.S. federal courts. His experience includes proceedings relating to the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, jurisdictional disputes involving foreign parties, and litigation arising alongside parallel arbitration proceedings.

Tim also serves as tribunal secretary in international arbitrations administered under the rules of leading arbitral institutions, assisting arbitral tribunals with procedural orders, dispositive motions, and case management in complex commercial disputes involving multinational parties.

Before entering private practice, Tim spent five years working within the federal judiciary, including clerkship and staff attorney positions with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Eastern District of California, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio. His work in the federal courts involved a wide range of civil matters, including complex commercial disputes.

Tim graduated ranked second in his law school class and holds both a J.D. and an LL.M. in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law, with a focus on comparative and international legal systems.

He is admitted to practice in Alaska, Hawai‘i, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Washington State.
